I have an Emotional Support Animal or a Service Animal, do I have to pay the PetClear verification fee?
No. If you have an assistance animal, including a service animal or support animal, you do not need to pay a pet verification fee, as assistance animals are not pets. Unless you have a readily apparent disability (see next question), it is recommended to use PetClear to submit documentation about your assistance animal to the property manager. There is no fee for using the PetClear platform to manage this process, and it is a convenient way to ensure that your property manager has the correct documents needed to verify your animal.
